Square One Bistro

About the project

Square One Bistro is a quaint, tasty restaurant located in downtown Bryan, Texas. They have been around over 10 years, but the new owners wanted to revamp the visuals of the restaurant. We started with a new identity that mixes hand-written typography with a classic serif font. Some of the features of the site include user rankings on the menu items and an RSS feed of the daily specials that is simoultaneously posted to Twitter, a “microblogging” site. It was important that the restaurant could easily change their specials daily, so we took advantage of an open-source content management system for certain portions of the site. Other designs for Square One Bistro include multiple print advertisements for various publications around town as well as business cards, menus, and even signage.
